Israel Strikes Back
October 28, 2005 -- Israeli forces killed a top Palestinian terrorist yesterday in the Gaza Strip and arrested a leader of Islamic Jihad on the West Bank — the opening salvos in what Prime Minister Ariel Sharon vowed would be a "broad and nonstop" offensive.
The moves against Islamic Jihad came a day after the terror group proudly claimed responsibility for the homicide bombing that killed five Israelis a day earlier at a falafel stand in Hadera.
In the Gaza Strip, Israel bombed terrorist rocket positions, killing a field commander of Islamic Jihad, military officials said. He was not identified.
In the earlier operation, 35 Israeli military Jeeps, backed by Apache helicopters, entered the West Bank town of Jenin and surrounded the home of Abdel Khalim Izzadin, a known leader of Islamic Jihad.
After a brief skirmish, Izzadin and five other men were arrested, and Israeli troops withdrew, the Army said.

It's about time. It is clear that the Palestinians will only respond to power. I only hope that Sharon does as he says he will do. Israel needs to wipe out the Palestinian Terror structure once and for all. That means killing all the terror leaders they can get their hands on. Sharon needs to step up and do what he was elected to do. Maybe make up for the fact that he pulled the settlers out of their homes seemingly for no reason.
